Venous Skin Conditions

 What are Venous Skin Conditions?

Skin discoloration of the legs is symptomatic of a more serious vein condition. When the veins in your legs are not functioning properly, the blood pools lead to swelling. This condition creates inflammation and leads to your skin becoming discolored.  An evaluation of both your superficial and deep venous systems will help diagnose an underlying venous condition causing the surface changes.  A venous ultrasound to map the anatomy will be able to identify defective veins and dictate a treatment plan.
