IVUS therapy is used in conjunction with venography to better understand and diagnose venous anatomy and malfunction.  This technology allows us to look “inside” the vein wall to identify valve dysfunction, narrowing of the vein walls, abnormal vein wall tissue and blood clot fragments.  The information gained from this technology allows us precision in balloon angioplasty and stenting for deep vein disorders and proper embolization for superficial venous treatment.
