Venography with angioplasty and stenting

Venography is a minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic study used to rule out both anatomical obstruction and venous insufficiency.  A small catheter is inserted into your veins with local anesthesia and a small amount of dye is used to highlight your venous anatomy to identify venous obstruction.  If disease is found, we can balloon and if indicated stent the vessel back to normal size to repair the vein.  This procedure is used for patients with deep vein thrombosis, venous wounds, ulcers and venous insufficiency.
